Founded in 1993, J O Hambro is a boutique committed to generating long-term returns that preserve and grow clients’ capital, combining disciplined investment, accountability, and flexibility to navigate evolving social, technological, and economic conditions. Our portfolio managers operate autonomously within regulatory and client-defined mandates rather than a centralised house view, enabling diverse, informed perspectives across teams. Our team have purpose-built proprietary tools such as Affinity, J O Hambro’s sustainability data platform, and Horizon, our probabilistic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecasting model, to integrate, analyse, and visualise ESG and climate data. These platforms translate complex data into actionable insights for ESG screening, portfolio construction, scenario analysis, and engagement.

Affinity is JOHCM's proprietary sustainability data and analytics platform, designed to centralise and streamline the integration of ESG and climate-related data into investment decision-making. The platform aggregates data from leading third-party providers alongside proprietary tools and metrics, to offer a comprehensive view of sustainability performance at both the company and portfolio levels. Built with a modular structure, Affinity is continuously evolving, ensuring the platform adapts to the dynamic requirements of the investment landscape. It facilitates in-depth analysis of sustainability data, supports engagement tracking and voting records, and enhances transparency in ESG reporting and compliance processes.
